It is mainly made of plastic for medical use and natural rubber and can be used to inject certain doses of solution into the human body.

3. Feature of Extension Set
1. The purpose of a Catheter Mount is to reduce resistance on the endotracheal tube or laryngeal mask by shifting the weight of the breathing system away from the patient.
2. Tube Types: Corrugated, Expandable and Smooth Bore.
3. Connector Types: Elbow, Dual Swivel with or without Elastomeric Cap, Luer Lock, etc.
4. The 15mm standard tube provides maximum flexibility during surgery and clinical procedures when patient manipulation may be required.
5. 22mm F / 15mm M end connectors allow secure connection to all Y-pieces that meet approved standards.
6. Suitable for use with anesthesia, breathing and resuscitators.
7. Available in different sizes for children and adults.
4. Direction for use of Extension Set
1. Remove cap from the Luer access port or Luer connector and connect to the fluid source (syringe or set).
2. Prime the set: fill the line with fluid. Where used with a blood transfusion or IV administration set, follow the priming instructions provided with that set.
3. Ensure all air is expelled from the device before connecting to a patient or downstream device. Some components such as non-return valves and access ports need to be inverted during priming to remove all air.
4. Remove cap from end adaptor when ready to use.
