3. Feature of Plaster of Paris Bandages
1. Length: 2.7m, 3m, 4.6m or other special sizes optional.
2. Poly-bag(normal pack&ribbon peel pack)or blister or 2-ply paper pouch available.
4. Direction for use of Plaster of Paris Bandages
1. Before applying the Plaster of Paris Bandages, the patient’s skin should be appropriately.
2. Used glove when applying the Plaster of Paris Bandages.
3. Soak only ONE roll of bandage at a time. Immerse the bandage at 45° slant until bubbling ceases. The soaking time is between 5-15 seconds.
4. Take the bandage out of water and squeeze out the excess water with hands pressing the bandage softly from both edges towards the middle. If a second bandage is required, lightly squeeze the first bandage to leave enough water to soak on the second bandage so that the bandages are properly merged and formed appropriately.
5. Shape the bandage by hand continuously during wrapping. Wrapping process must be completed before setting time.
6. After the shaping & wrapping process, the bandage will take 2-3 minutes to harden so that the bandage can be properly formed. During this period, it is important that no movement / disturbance is allowed as this will affect the forming of bandage.
