4. Direction for use of Hydrocolloid Wound Dressing
1. Clean the wound thoroughly. The skin around the wound should be clean and dry.
2. The size of the dressing depends on the surface area of the wound - the edge of the dressing should extend 2-3 cm beyond the wound edge.
3. Place hydrocolloid wound dressings in individual packs and heat gently by hand to activate the self-adhesive surface.
4. Open and remove the backing paper from the surface of the dressing. Apply the hydrocolloid wound dressing to the wound without touching the surface of the centrally bonded dressing.
5. Remove the remaining clear film placement layer, once the dressing is insitu.
